Watch Movies On My PC - Now This Is Cool!
Posted by Edge on September 21st, 2007 filed in TravelI travel by air quite a bit and use my laptop to entertain during those arduous hours on the plane. I used to play solitaire, moved on to soduko and then started renting DVDs from a local [tag-tec]movie rental[/tag-tec] store to watch while flying. Problem was, the [tag-tec]DVD player[/tag-tec] eats a lot of power and really cut down on the amount of time I could use the laptop. Then I found CinemaNow!
This is a site that allows you to legally download DVD quality copies of [tag-tec]feature length movies[/tag-tec]. If you buy a movie, it’s yours to watch whenever you want, even years from now. Or you can rent a movie from anywhere from $1.00 to $3.99. You then have 24 hours from the time you hit the play button to watch it. That’s a cool feature. I can download rentals on Friday night to play back during my flight on Monday. The 24 hour clock doesn’t start until I hit the play button!
I love this. No more fumbling with a DVD on the plane. My laptop battery lasts a lot longer since I’m playing off the hard drive.
They’ve now added a feature I haven’t tried yet, but soon will. They have added a “burn to DVD” option. This means you can burn a purchased [tag-tec]movie[/tag-tec] to DVD and play it back in a normal home DVD player with all the original features. Guess I’ll go out and get a DVD burner now.
Another cool thing about CinemaNow is there is no [tag-tec]membership fee[/tag-tec]. I only pay for what I rent or buy. No shipping charges!
Yet another cool thing they didn’t have when I started using them was a 7 day free trial. If you’re not happy, you pay nothing! Check ‘em out at CinemaNow and tell ‘em Edge sent ya!
