Remembering Our Fallen Troops - Edge Media
Posted by Edge on May 28th, 2007 filed in NewsMemorial Day…..for me , a rather somber day, remembering the good men and women who have offered up the greatest sacrifice protecting us in this country and those in other countries. Personally, it is not a day I intend to celebrate with cookouts and/or fireworks, but a day to solemnly reflect on the fallen and the families they leave behind.
Don’t get me wrong. Please enjoy your day off, but please remember what Memorial Day is all about. If you have the opportunity, shake a veteran or soldier’s hand in thanks for their service.
One thing you can do for our troops is support the children of fallen troops. Sean Hannity has put together a scholarship fund, collecting money to provide college scholarships for children of deceased servicemen. To donate to this noble cause, click here. There are also a series of concerts around the country benefiting the fund. For more information on Sean Hannity’s Freedom Concerts, click here.
